Description:
The centre of Villagers is a young man by the name of Conor O'Brien, and it is he that is the creative force behind this entity, nominated for the Mercury Awards in 2010. O'Brien formerly of The Immediate is the songwriter and musical craftsman at play and has wowed audiences across Ireland, the UK, the US and beyond. In April 2010 the band made waves by appearing on On 13 April 2010, Villagers appeared on Later... with Jools Holland on BBC Two alongside Paul Weller, Hot Chip, Marina and the Diamonds, Gogol Bordello and Paul Rodgers.
